COVID-19 Statement
The WVPTA Board of Directors recognizes and appreciates that our members may hold differing opinions about attending an in-person conference; therefore, we are giving members the option to participate in-person or to join the conference virtually*.
The WVPTA will follow guidance from local health departments and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) regarding large gatherings, including CDC recommendations on preventing the spread of COVID-19. At this time, our upcoming April 2021 Annual Conference will take place as scheduled, but with some modification and added safety measures.
Efforts to mitigate risk:
- All participants other than the speakers will be required to wear a mask at all times, except when eating. The WVPTA will provide free masks for those participants who lose or forget their mask.
- In-person attendance will be limited to 50% of the standard room capacity to allow for social distancing.
- The WVPTA will provide free hand sanitizer for all participants.
- The WVPTA has worked with Stonewall Resort to ensure safe food handling.
*Please note, should you decide to attend virtually, during online checkout you will need to check the option “attend virtually”. Cost attendance for virtual options is the same as in person attendance.
